OCZ Announces Agility 4 Series SSD With Prices Starting At $150

OCZ Technology is a well known in the world of SSD (Solid State Drives). The company has been shipping out novel and innovative drives over time. The latest from OCZ is the announcement of Agility 4 Series. OCZ is claiming Agility 4 to be an exceptionally well piece of hardware with great data speeds and IPOS performance.


Agility 4 is available in four sizes, namely 64GB, 128GB, 256GB and 512GB. The company has used Everest 2 controller in the series. The performance of the drive varies with the size. For instance, you may be able to reach 400MBps read and write speeds on the 256GB and 512GB models whereas the speeds may be lower on the smaller models.

According to the CEO of OCZ Technology, “For mainstream storage applications, there is no product better suited in the industry than our Agility 4 SSDs, providing the ultimate in access speed, application performance, endurance and reliability, at price points that most cost-conscious users will find appealing.As mobile users and applications continue to grow, adding to the deluge of data being generated on a daily basis, our Agility 4 SSD series provide great IOPS performance at a reasonable price enabling the user experience to be heightened especially for video streaming, music, photos, gaming, and online transaction processing (OLTP).”

While OCZ hasn’t pegged any definite price yet, it has been found that the 128GB version of the series is available for $150 while the 256GB is costing $250 and 512GB can be yours for $561.
