Apple Unveils 27-inch iMac With Retina 5K, Price Starts At $2499

Apple event is going on and the company is unveiling its new products one by one. Already, the company has unveiled its new product – iPad 2
and iPad mini 3. And now, the company has unveiled 27-inch iMac with Retina 5K Display. Its price starts at $2499.


27-inch iMac With Retina 5K

The outer edge of 27-inch iMac is 5 mm thick, keeping the trim frame all the way around. Having Oxide TFT display, Apple is calling the 27-inch iMac With Retina Display as “Retina 5K.” It features a resolution 5,120 x 2,880 resolution with 67% more pixels than 4K. With such resolution, it is now the “world’s highest resolution display.” Apple has noted that it has seven times as many pixels as an HD TV, with 14.7 million in total. Besides, the company has mentioned that the new iMac is 30% more energy efficient.

Apple 27-inch iMac With Retina 5K

Apple has mentioned that the price for the new iMac will start at $2,499 and you can order it from today. The base model has a 3.5GHz quad-core Intel Core i5 processor, AMD Radeon R9 M290X graphics card, 8GB of RAM, and a 1TB Fusion drive. Buyers will be able to configure it with up to a 4GHz Core i7 processor, 32GB of RAM, a 3TB Fusion drive, or a 1TB SSD. If you are not interested in 27-inch iMac with Retina 5K, then Apple has also 21.5-inch and 27-inch non-Retina iMacs available for you.
