Google Chrome For Android 4.0 Device Released

Google has been gradually expanding it’s influence in the browser market. First it launched Chrome for computer users and very quickly took over Mozilla to become the second most used browser in the world. In fact, analysts have speculated that it will soon take over Internet Explorer as the top browser. Now, Google has released the browser also for Android mobile devices. However, for now, Google Chrome is available only for Android 4.0 devices. This means that you can use the browser only if your device has Ice Cream Sandwich running on it.

The fact that Google has released the browser only for Android 4.0 mobile devices means that only 1% of total Android mobile users can make use of the browser. Because of a total of about 200 million Android mobile devices being currently used, only about 2 million devices are tooling Ice Cream Sandwich as of now.

A major feature of Chrome is it’s tabbed browsing which will be all the more useful for efficient and seamless web browsing on mobiles. Moreover, the Android mobile version of Chrome also includes the feature that enables the auto-load of results as you type the key words so as to launch the results much more swiftly.

So far, the reviews of the browser experience on Android 4.0 devices have been very few but nearly all of them highly praised the browser. It is currently available for download in the Android Market and only the users from US, UK, France, Canada, Australia, Germany, Spain, Japan, Argentina, Mexico, Korea and Brazil can download it.

We hope that Google may soon release another version of Google Chrome which can be used on earlier version of Android OS so as to reach out to a greater experience. Till then, ICS users can enjoy the fun ride.
