Microsoft Shows Off New Start Screen For Windows Phone 7.8

Microsoft’s Windows Phone operating system may not be the most popular on the market, but the software giant is constantly tweaking things to make the smartphone operating system better. A new version of Windows Phone is being worked on right now, and version 7.8 will bring a new start screen that looks interesting. It’s not really anything we haven’t seen before, but it shows just how much Microsoft wants to make sure we all understand the changes.

Windows Phone 8 may not be coming to Nokia’s Lumia 900, but Windows Phone 7.8 will be. Windows Phone 7.8 brings a lot of the same visual elements like the older devices. Microsoft’s Ben Rudolph shows off an early build of Windows Phone 7.8 running on a Nokia Lumia 900. There’s the ability to resize the start screen, change the size of tiles, and make the things you care more about… more visible.. Check out the video below for a quick rundown of the tile sizes.
