Spotify Becomes Available on BlackBerry AppStore

Spotify, the popular on-demand music streaming service, is now available for BlackBerry users, just in time to join the widespread festive mood of the holiday season. According to a post on the official blog, the BlackBerry version was just pushed out of beta stage and is now available for public download. Spotify app from the BlackBerry AppStore is compatible with Bold 9780, Bold 9700, Curve 9300, Curve 8520 and Bold 9000 BlackBerry smartphones.

The app is reportedly not working on smartphones running on CDMA networks. BlackBerry Torch 9800 owners will also have be disappointed to find out that Spotify app will not be compatible with their handsets. Spotify gives users instant access to their favorite music without requiring any download. The convenience of saving time and storage space, made Spotify a popular service, especially with the option of sharing music discoveries with friends on social networks like Facebook with just a tap of a button.

In order to access Spotify services and licensed music, users who were happy noticing that the app download is free, should know that they need to pay a monthly fee of $10. For the users who are not convinced by Spotify press release and they want to check out the Spotify library have the option of a free trial, available for 14 days.
