ZTE Unveils High-End 5-Inch Grand S Smartphone At CES 2013

ZTE has been in the race for high-end smartphones for a while. However, the company’s smartphone influence has barely trickled outside of China. ZTE has now unveiled its flagship smartphone, Grand S, at CES 2013. Packing a 6.9-mm thick profile, the company claims that it is the thinnest 4G smartphone in the world!

ZTE Grand S

From the looks of it, we have to admit that Grand S is fairly stunning. It packs a whole lot of gear under its hood and still manages to be far more thinner than most other high-end smartphones on the market. The display is a 5-inch 1080p screen which is juiced up with a 1.7GHz Snapdragon S4 Pro chip, together with 2GB of RAM.

There’s a 2-megapixel front-facing camera and a rather impressive 13-megapixel rear camera. ZTE Grand S runs Android 4.1 and allows the users to switch to panoramic shooting mode while tooling the rear camera.

This is, hands down, the best smartphone release from ZTE so far. Grand S packs both beauty and brains, and if ZTE is able to make it available internationally soon enough, it may indeed win a sizable following for the handset.

The device will first be made available in China during the first quarter of 2013. We are fervently hoping that international release will follow closely.
