Microsoft Reveals Details About Windows 8 Enterprise Version

When Microsoft finally put the curiosity of many to rest by finally confirming the name and editions of upcoming Windows 8. In that announcement was a fleeting mention of the Enterprise edition of Windows 8. Now, the folks at the company have divulged some more details about the Enterprise edition.


Primarily, the Enterprise edition wouldn’t interest a common, home user. Nonetheless, if you are an IT guy, the Enterprise edition may be what you’ll be working with soon. A number of new features are a part of the Enterprise Edition of Windows 8. Given below are some of them.

Windows To Go: You carry the desktop of your Windows 8 with you on a portable USB. Essentially, this lets your port  your own PC, albeit virtually, anywhere!

DirectAccess: This feature allows remote users to side-step the necessity to launch a VPN and rather, directly access corporate network resources.

BranchCache: BranchCache lets the users download and cache stuff such as websites, files and other content from the servers. This is done so that data is not required to be downloaded repeatedly.
