The People app is connected to the cloud services. Users will be able to import contacts from Exchange, Facebook, Google, LinkedIn, and Twitter, covering the whole social networking spectrum. People even can mark special contacts as Favorites. Moreover, like many Metro-style apps, the People app supports semantic zoom. Besides, the People App app detects duplicate contacts (the same contact in 2 or more services) and presents a single, unified view called a linked contact. Not to worry because the same contact list will be available to Mail and Messaging apps. Microsoft is working on a tool that will allow people to manually edit or delete duplicate contact entries if they haven’t been pulled in correctly. In addition, the People App has various controls for protecting people’s privacy and different default behaviors for different kinds of connected accounts.

The People App has been seamlessly integrated into Windows 8 so that it can work together with all the other apps. Hope so, people will like the People App. For more details about it, visit MSDN blog.
