Windows Phone 8 Could Debut In September, Earlier Than Anticipated

Windows Phone 8 devices might hit the market earlier than anticipated, reported PocketNow citing unnamed sources. According to the earlier speculations, Windows Phone 8 RTM (Release to Manufacturing) was expected to be introduced in September, and the devices were expected to hit the market in November. But the new report from PocketNow says, some Windows Phone 8 devices may come as early as September.

The Windows Phone forum WPCentral gave a rating of 7, out of 10, about the rumor. The forum acknowledges that “there’s a good chance.”

NeoWin blog said, “Microsoft has given heavily guarded Windows Phone 8 handsets to developers that were identified as “star developers” or “VIP’s” during the Windows Phone 7 life-cycle.”
