Microsoft May Reveal ARM-Based Xbox Lite At E3

Microsoft officials have been fairly clear that they had no plans of releasing a new version of the game console, Xbox, this year. However, this was not to deter the rumors and now, we have been told that the company is planning to unveil an ARM-based game console called the Xbox Lite. Essentially, this would be simply an ARM version of the current Xbox.

We can’t entirely rule out this possibility because the statements from the officials affirmed that they won’t be releasing a new console this year, and the rumors about Xbox Lite technically point to a game console which is just another kind of the current model.

If the rumors are to be believed, this Xbox Lite will hit the shelves with a retail price of $100. And that is precisely the most interesting part. If indeed such a game console hits the shelves, users are going to flock the shops to lay their hands on it. And it can possibly prove to be a precursor to the actual launch of a next-generation Xbox, which is expected some time next year.

The company will release Xbox Lite at E3 this year, which is still a few months away, according to the rumors. So we will have to wait and see if this rumor is true or another figment of imagination.
