Mortal Kombat Will Be Arriving On The PlayStation Vita

The PlayStation Vita, the latest in gaming technology form Sony will soon offer a little more incentive for game lovers, as Mortal Kombat is heading to this new PS device. Creative Director of Netherrealm Studios, the company involved in the game’s conception, confirmed the news for UberGizmo.

Mortal Kombat is available for gamers who use PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 but now, with the new availability on Play Station Vita, the game makers believe that the new features will “provide gamers with the best fighting game experience available on the new mobile platform.” For the moment there is still a little mystery surrounding these new features. We still have some months before we all find out what is all about.

According to reports, the PlayStation Vita didn’t quite made a splash on the market. After the release, industry observers noticed that even Japanese fans were reluctant to receive the new Play Station with the expected enthusiasm. In the first week of availability, Play Station Vista sold 325,000 units in the first 48 hours, but in the following week it only sold 72,479 units. Recently, some retailers announced that they will slash prices by 20% in order to deliver more appeal to PS Vita. Under the circumstances, Sony needs any incentive that could convince customers to buy the latest toy from the Japanese manufacturer.
