Just a week ago, the official iOS application for Crackle was released for iPhone and iPad and now it has been ported to the Apple TV 2G. If you want to watch Free Full length Movies on Apple TV 2G so here is a simple way to do it, Install Crackle App (for iPhone and iPod touch) on Apple TV 2G.

For those who aren’t familiar, Crackle is free app from Sony entertainment that hosts tons of movies and TV show episodes streaming free.

Simply follow the step-by-step tutorial below and you can watch all these on your big screen HDTV, using a jailbroken Apple TV 2G.

1. Download this zip file ( make sure to leave it as a .zip file )

2. Jailbreak, and install XBMC… the easiest way is through NitoTV ( free )

3. Once NitoTV is installed, use it to install XBMC. From there, you have to upload the zip file to your AppleTV. Use either an AFC2 app or openSSH to make an SFTP connection to the AppleTV’s IP address (find it in the ATV’s settings), username ‘root’ password ‘alpine’ (which is the default for ATV). The .zip files goes in the /private/var/mobile/Media folder. Once there, launch XBMC on your ATV, go to settings, Addons Manager, and select the Install from zip file (it’s in there somewhere…easy to find).

4. Once you’re done, just install Crackle ( and anything else you like – not necessarily working though ).

NOTE: if you run into a wall with Crackle, try installing the XBMC nightly build over the current stable release. Not too many people have this issues, but we did, and this is how we fixed it.
