Absinthe – Name Of The Upcoming iPhone 4S And iPad 2 Untethered Jailbreak Tool

iPhone 4S and iPad 2 users have been eagerly waiting for the release of the tool to accomplish untethered jailbreak on their devices. Pod2g and his team has been successful in accomplishing the untethered jailbreak but they still haven’t released the tool publicly. According to the latest post on Pod2g’s post, the tool will be released very soon and that, through the tool, both iPhone 4S and iPad 2 users can easily accomplish untethered jailbreak. The name of this new tool is Absinthe.

According to Pod2g, this tool named Absinthe has been developed by the Chronic Dev Team and will be available very soon. Not only will the iPhone users get Absinthe, iPhone Dev Team will also release a CLI (command line) tool. This tool will help users of iPhone 4S and iPad 2 diagnose any problems that may arise during or after the untethered jailbreak. The CLI tool may also be used to repair any problems that may occur during the jailbreak.

Although this time, we are being provided with a diagnostic tool by Pod2g, he says in his post that the chances of something going wrong is very, very rare. According to him, he and his team tested a whole lot of different scenarios and tackled all of them, so most probably the users of Absinthe won’t face any problems. However, since  he and his team are using the back up/restore functions of iTunes for the first time to install the software, he is a little unsure and hence the diagnostic tool.

We can expect the tools to be released before the next week expires.
