Al Gore Confirms New iPhones For Next Month

According to The Next Web, Apple board member Al Gore claimed that Apple will be releasing new iPhones next month, which make the first such public comment on Apple’s next-generation iPhone release plans from anyone closely connected to the company. He also said that the company would release two iPhones by the end of the year, an iPhone 5 alongside an updated version of the iPhone 4. Although latest reports suggest that Apple will hold a conference on October 4th with the release of the iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, iCloud, iOS 5, and possibly new-look iPod touch and iPod nano devices and Gore’s statement was plural its unclear if he was referring to multiple iPhone models…………………

It looks like Apple‘s board member Al Gore has revealed that Apple will indeed launch not one but two new iPhones, just as some reports have claimed and The Next Web reports that Al Gore specifically stated that the new iPhones would be out next month at the Discovery Invest Leadership Summit. He also appeared to clarify that we will indeed be seeing the Cupertino’s entry-level device dubbed the iPhone 4S by stating that the new iPhones would be out next month. This second device will be of a similar form factor to the current iPhone 4 with a few moderate changes and will retail at a significantly cheaper price. Additionally, the iPhone 4S is thought to carry a standard 8GB of flash memory in order to keep costs down to a minimum, although with iCloud being released in conjunction, there’s plenty of potential to extend that quota with virtual space through the cloud infrastructure. Gore offered no additional information, although latest reports suggest that Apple will hold a conference on October 4th during which it will announce the release of the iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, iCloud, iOS 5, and possibly new-look iPod touch and iPod nano devices. Although Gore’s comments may be just a strategic ploy to keep Apple firmly atop the news, it’s certainly not a trait of former government officials to tell lies. Although Gore isn’t an Apple employee, he has been an influential member of Apple’s board and he spearheading efforts to make the company more environmentally friendly and energy efficient.
