Apple Finally Announces iPhone 4S Launch In China On January 13

Chinese users have long been waiting to release iPhone 4S in China. While Apple did attain all required permissions from Chinese authorities about a month ago, the launch was still delayed. Now, Apple has finally announced that it will release iPhone 4S, it’s latest smartphone, in China on January 13th. The device will be launched in 21 other countries on the same date.

The release date for iPhone 4S in China was announced in a recent official announcement by Apple. According to Apple’s Chief Executive Tim Cook, the response of users to Apple’s products in China is exceptionally overwhelming.

This has also put an end to a round of speculations that has been going around on internet which claimed that Apple will be releasing iPhone 4S in China on the Chinese New Year which falls on January 23, 2012. However, it is still unclear as to when Mandarin, the most widely spoken language in China, will be supported by Apple’s Siri. Some have suggested that the support will be here by the end of March, 2012 but Apple hasn’t given any definite date so far. The lack of support for Siri will definitely make some Apple users wait for it to come before they make the purchase.

iPhone 4S has already been launched in Hong Kong in the start of November. And within a day or two of the release, the stocks flew right off the shelves, so great was the response. Different companies in China have been making advance bookings of the device so as to avoid stock-out once the device is released.

Other countries where iPhone 4S will be released on Jan 13 include Dominican Republic, Bolivia, Botswana, Antigua, Anguilla, Barbuda, British Virgin Islands, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Cayman Islands, Dominica, Ecuador, Grenada, Guam, Trinidad and Tobago, Turks and Caicos, Uganda, Jamaica, Ivory Coast, Guinea Conakry, Guam and Grenadines.
