Apple iTunes Festival London 2011 Showed Live Streaming On iOS

Apple’s iTunes Festival will held this year in London starts in 31 nights and 62 artists perform their hits live on stage. Unfortunately, not everyone in the world can make it to London this month to catch their favourite acts in the flesh. Fortunately for those people, Apple released an app to solve that problem.

The lineup includes Coldplay, Linkin Park, Foo Fighters, Paul Simon, Bruno Mars, Adele, My Chemical Romance, Duran Duran, Lang Lang and Moby — to name just a few of the great shows that people watch live on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.

Download the official app to explore the lineup in more detail and watch the shows or on demand for a limited period. You can even invite your friends to watch on the big screen with AirPlay support for streaming the gigs to your Apple TV (compatible only with second-generation Apple TV; requires iOS 4.3 or later).

You’ll be able to purchase the recordings of the concerts exclusively on iTunes later. Head over to the Apple App Store to download the app now (it’s free).
