iPhone Dev Team has released the 6th Beta of Redsn0w 0.9.7 untethered jailbreak for iPhone 4, iPod Touch 4 and iPad on iOS 4.2.1.This version fixes all Skype related issues which were hampering users ever since the first beta of this untethered iOS 4.2.1 jailbreak.Also, unlike previous versions, you no longer have to do a complete restore to use the newest beta. If you jailbroke your iPhone 4 with 0.9.7beta5, you can simply run this new beta right over it.
The iPhone Dev Team is now working on porting the “Monte” technique back to iOS 4.1. This will enable users to untether the iOS 4.2.1 jailbreak on iPhone, iPad and iPod-Touch without having 4.2b3 SHSH blobs saved on Cydia.

The sixth beta is now available (testers ONLY please!). This version fixes Skype (and as expected all along, the Skype issue turns out to be unrelated to sandbox patches). Please do not pirate the 4.2b3 IPSW! Only those enrolled in the iPhone Developer program have legitimate access to that IPSW using these links (the links won’t work unless you’re a legit developer currently logged in).
Unlike the last few betas, you can freely run beta6 over beta5 without a problem (but for testing purposes, we’d really like people to try both ways….from stock, and from already jailbroken). If all you want to do is fix Skype and you’re already untethered using beta5, just run beta6 and deselect every checkbox.
Now that the sandbox, Bluetooth, and Skype issues are fixed, our next priority is porting Monte back to 4.1. We’ll also try to make the Windows version less painfully slow.

Hi ! I completed the jb with redsn0w 0.9.7b6 at my iphone4 at 4.2.1 and everything went fine, but now I have a huge problem…I can no longer connect my iphone to my mac or pc. Every time I connect it, it charges but both my mac and my pc do not recognise it. Also itunes does not recognise it. I guess it has something to do with usbmuxd, but I don’t know what to do…Could someone help me with that ? Thank you all !!
