I’m continuously reporting about the untethered jailbreak solution from Chronic dev team, now here is another interesting feature which Greenpois0n RC5 will offer to jailbreaks. Justin Williams and Nicolas Haunold, also known as Jaywalker998 and westbaer respectively over Twitter and the members of Chronic Dev Team, have just posted a video on Youtube showing a jailbroken iPhone booting with custom boot logo.
According to Jaywalker998:
The current plan is for this animation to be available for your boot animation via Cydia. Additionally you will have source to make your own
Not fully ready for release, but getting there. For those who can’t tell, the second image is the GP Skull Greenpois0n RC5 to Allow Custom Animated Boot Logo on Jailbroken iPhone icon biggrin
Also as already confirmed before, GreenPois0n RC5 will support all devices, including, iPhone 4, 3GS, iPod touch 2G/3G/4G and iPad for untethered iOS 4.2.1 jailbreak without needing any SHSH blobs saved on Cydia.
