iPhone 5 Coming With Dual-core A5 Processor,iOS 4.3 Codes Indicate

Last year, Apple introduce A4 processor with the new iPad. After few months later they they put the Apple A4 processor in the iPhone 4. This month, they introduced the Apple A5 processor with the iPad 2. So their tradition indicates that this A5 processor will also put into the upcoming iPhone 5. According to some modders who were looking around the iOS 4.3 code, it looks like the iPhone 5 will have the same Apple A5 processor as the iPad 2.

This certainly isn’t the first time we’ve heard rumors of a dual-core iPhone 5 and, considering that the A5 is powering the iPad 2, it seems like a pretty safe bet that the same chip will make it into the new iPhone, too.

I’m not sure iPhone 5 really needs an A5 processor. iPhone 4 is hardly a slouch when it comes to getting things done. I’d much rather more battery life, or it not to drop calls if I don’t use a case.
