iPhone 5 Prototypes Spotted Again By Foxconn

It seems that the rumor about the iPhone 5 will never stop before release. This time rumors have came from a reliable source from Foxconn. They has provided information to the folks over at 9to5Mac regarding the upcoming iPhone 5. A leaked image of the prototype of iPhone 5 which shows that its design will almost the same like iPhone 4 but the back cover will be made of aluminum, whereas the iPhone 4 has a back cover made up of glass.

According to 9to5Mac, a source from Foxconn is claiming that the iPhone 5 prototypes has already been seen at Foxconn and is soon going into the mass production stages. In terms of design, the iPhone 5 is said to look fairly similar to the iPhone 4 except for two very important differences: materials and screen size.

Apple was previously mentioned to likely change the rear part of the iPhone 5 to aluminum instead of glass which was used in the first generation iPhone devices or to adopt the design similar to the iPod Touch 4G which was slightly curvy. The design change might be because of many users reporting a lot of issues like scratches on the rear glass surface.

The iPhone 5 is likely to be released in either June or July at WWDC 2011 – same event as last year.
