iPhonECG Case Turns iPhone 4 into an ECG machine [Video]

A new iPhone 4 accessory has invented by Seattle-based Alivecor called iPhonECG which turns it into an ECG device that can be used to monitor your heart rate.It can be attached directly via a set of electrodes or serve wirelessly so you don’t have to keep the phone constantly pressed against your heart like you’re pledging allegiance to the mighty state of iOS, though chances are, that’s the kind of dream that makes Steve Jobs giggle in his sleep.

It also stores and wirelessly transmits the data. The information is wirelessly sent to the device where it is interpreted and displayed on a dedicated iPhone 4 app which has also been developed by Lifetone. Another app that works with the case is a heart rate monitor.

These apps and the iPhonECG case will be revealed at CES (Consumer Electronics Show) in Las Vegas next week.
