It’s a great news for the iOS users. Now you can share file with windows users. We all know Samba is a popular file sharing protocol for Linux/UNIX to share file with Windows terminal. It’s available for iOS. You can access your iDevice files over a Wi-Fi network from Windows terminal.
Samba is a sharing protocol known as SMB which are used to access files on Windows from Linux/UNIX terminal or vice versa. It has been implemented in iOS. The permission control is modified for SMB protocol for iOS. iOS users can read the files which are shared on Windows & also write in the empty directories of the Windows terminal if access permission is enabled in those directories. It has been introduce for security purpose on Windows.

This is actually done to prevent accidental damage (it’s easy in Windows Explorer to move a directory from one place to the other by accident).
