Twitter Adds Improvements, Updates iPhone App

Twitter has been one of the wildly popular social media networks. The micro-blogging site’s iPhone app, naturally, has been one of the most useful ones for iPhone users. Now Twitter has decided to add a number of improvements to its iPhone app. These include not only the inclusion of all the standard features of the regular Twitter website but also an enhancement of the image quality in tweet detail, ability to find friends more easily, added support for Turkish and much more.

Apart from the regular features of Twitter which include the ability to track topics in real-time and keep up-to-date with breaking news and find friends on the micro-blogging platform, Twitter has added a number of new enhancements to its iPhone app. These include the ability to copy and paste from tweets as well as profiles, a functionality which wasn’t supported in the earlier version of Twitter for iPhone app.

The new version also provides a number of new swipe short-cuts, utilizing the touch-screen of the iPhone devices to more useful ends. There are ‘direct message improvements’ in the new version, though we are not yet clear as to what kind of improvements this necessarily refers to. What is significant, though, is that the new version has an improved quality for image detail in tweets. This means that you won’t have to screw your eyes any more to catch the details of a tweet on your iPhone screen.

Another very useful added feature is the option for font size settings. This complements the improved image quality and lets you view tweets without any qualms. Finally, the new version has support for a new language, Turkish. You may want to head to the official iTunes Store page of the new version of Twitter for iPhone app to try your hands on it.
