Modded Wooden Sega Saturn Laptop

If there’s one thing better than a new Ben Heck mod, it’s seeing something his army of apprentices has cooked up and c_mon recently posted a few pics of this incredibly cool commission: a portable Sega Saturn laptop in a CNC-cut wood case. The case copies the mould lines from the original Saturn with the natty addition of an electroluminescent wire that puts us in mind of Tron when the device is running and the laptop’s lid actually bears the logo of Saturn automobiles……………

Ben Heck forum member and mad talented modder c_mon recently posted a few pics of this incredibly cool commission: a portable Sega Saturn laptop in a CNC-cut wood case, which apes some of the lines of the original 32-bit game console and the unit boasts an in-case cooling fan, stereo sound with composite video, a 9v 4A DC power adapter, and it utilizes a modified 5-inch Sony PSOne screen. He used the logo from the Saturn automobile line on the top instead of the original Saturn logo and put it there because he was having trouble getting the original logo to render with his CNC software. In order to make sure that the system stays cool, he also added a fan inside the case and you will also notice a couple of speakers built in so it’s completely self-contained other than the power brick.
