LG Brings ‘World’s Largest’ 55-Inch OLED HDTV Panel in CES 2012

LG Display, a leading innovator of Thin-film Transistor Liquid Crystal Display (TFT-LCD) technology, is going to give us a Magnificent Gift in next year. LG declared releasing the very First ‘World’s Largest’ 55-Inch OLED HDTV in 2012. This TV panel from LG will be made available for Display to select media and customers at a Private Booth starting on January 9 in Las Vegas through the end of CES 2012. No doubt, creation of this 55-inch panel is a Giant step in the popularization of OLED TVs and also demonstrates the effective application of AMOLED technology to larger panel sizes at a more cost efficient level.

As using the White OLED (WOLED) overlaid with Red, Green and Blue diodes, 55-Inch OLED HDTV claims making a lower error rate and clearer “Ultra Definition” screen, comparing to standard LCDs. “Our objective has always been to actively define and lead emerging display technology markets,” said Dr. Sang Beom Han, CEO and Executive Vice President of LG Display. “Although OLED technology is seen as the future of TV display, the technology has been limited to smaller display sizes and by high costs, until now. LG Display’s 55-inch OLED TV panel has overcome these barriers.”

Apart from this, this 55-inch OLED HDTV also have Superior and Remarkable Image Quality with high contrast ratio of over 100,000:1, 5mm Ultra Thin Design, Oxide TFT technology, self-generatable light emitting diodes etc. Definitely, it will be competing with the Korean rival ‘Samsung’ while it releases.

We have nothing to do but waiting till the end of CES 2012 for this New High Definition TV.
