Dell Latitude St Business Tablet Now Official

Dell has announced a Windows-based tablet for business customers, focused on security and manageability through integration with existing IT infrastructures, which is the Dell Latitude ST, available from 1 November, is based on an Intel Atom processor and runs Windows 7, rather than Android on which some rival tablet devices are based. The new tablet is powered by a 1.5GHz Atom Z670 processor, features 2GB of DDR2 RAM. 128 GB of SSD should help in speedy boot-ups and load times and the device is compatible with VMware and Citrix virtualization. An upgrade to the tablet-friendly Windows 8 isn’t currently in the cards, though the company says that it will release Windows 8 tablets at some point and Dell didn’t mention a price, but considering HP’s Slate 500 tablet competes in the same (small) market, expect an MSRP below $1000………………..
