Leaked Photos Taken With Nokia Lumia 1020 Confirm 41MP Camera Phone

The official announcement for Nokia’s 41-megapixel camera phone with Windows Phone 8 is expected to come later this week. But there were some confusion about the naming of the device – is it Lumia 1020 or Lumia 909? Some sample photos posted on Flickr, taken with the phone, by Microsoft Windows Phone manager Joe Belfiore confirms the name to be Lumia 1020.

The metadata of two pictures posted by Belfiore revealed that they were taken through Nokia Lumia 1020.One of the shots was taken at 2947 x 1658 resolution (nearly 5-megapixels) and another at 2352 x 1568 (3.7-megapixels). The photos are now marked as private on Flickr. The system with optical image stabilization (OIS) takes incredibly high-resolution pictures. Nokia has been teasing the handset with the tag line – “41 million reasons to zoom in.”

    Now eject the Microcruft trojan CEO and get us an OS we actually want, and we’ll start looking at Nokia phones again!
