Good news for high end Samsung smartphone owners: their favorite phone maker promises batteries that will last longer. As Kevin Packingham, vice president of product innovation at Samsung, explained for CNET smartphones released by the company this year will be designed to last longer.

The main focus of the company, is to help smartphone owners to make the best out of their handsets without nervously looking around for a power source. Apparently, we will be able to use our smart Android phones even a full day, provided we use it moderately. With high end smartphones delivering an increasing number of impressive features, including big size sleek displays, fast connection speeds, high performance cameras and powerful processors, the battery life span became an issue across a whole range of devices.

The phone makers have noticed the main complaint many users are describing on the dedicated forums and begun to take appropriate actions. For instance, Motorola Mobility, announced Droid Razr Maxx to feature under a bulkier appearance a larger battery. Samsung will also integrate significantly larger batteries into smartphones expected to hit the market this year.

Also, the company will make additional efforts to optimize power consumption for other main features of the company’s high end smartphones. Such improvements will be focused on Wi-Fi searches, LTE radio connection (and Samsung’s official pointed out that LTE Samsung smartphones running on Verizon networks have optimized power consumption than the models running on other networks).
