Since last month, we’ve been hearing a rumor that South Korean giant Samsung is making a 12.2-inch Galaxy Note Pro tablet, but we were not sure whether the company is really making it or not. But now, Sam Mobile has confirmed that Samsung is really making the 12.2-inch Galaxy Note Pro tablet.

According to Sam Mobile’s report, the purported 12.2-inch 4G LTE-enabled (model numbers SM-P905) Galaxy Note Pro tablet will run on Android 4.4.2 (KitKat) and feature a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor (8974-AA) clocking at 2.3GHz, Adreno 330 GPU with a clock speed of 450 MHz and a 12.2-inch display providing a resolution of 2560×1600 (WQXGA) pixels and 16:10 aspect ratio.

Besides, it will pack 3 GB of RAM, 8-megapixel rear camera capable of shooting Full HD 1080p video and 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera for video calls. In addition, it’ll support 802.11ac on top of the usual a/b/g/n, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0 + LE, and an IR blaster is included for remote control access using Samsung’s WatchON service.

Apart from making 4G LTE-enabled model, Samsung is also making a Wi-Fi version (model number SM-P900) of this 12.2-inch Galaxy Note Pro tablet. But it is unclear whether the Wi-Fi version of the tablet will also feature the same Snapdragon chip or Samsung’s own Exynos SoC.

Sam Mobile has also confirmed that “Samsung is changing its usual tablet UI to something more unique,” but no details have been announced yet. However, Samsung is expected to unveil the 12.2-inch Galaxy Note Pro tablet at Mobile World Congress (MWC) in February, which is going to be held from 24-27 February in Barcelona, Spain.
