Acer Announced ICONIA Tab A500 Android Tablet

Acer has announced its Iconia Tab A500,which will connect in the States via the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE network.Like two of Asus’ new Android tablets, the Acer Iconia Tab A500 has a 10 inch multi-touch capacitive display and is powered by an Nvidia Tegra 2 dual-core processor.

The A500 will feature a 10.1-inch capacitive touchscreen, and will be powered by an Nvidia Tegra 2 1GHz dual core processor. It will run Android (version yet to be confirmed), with an Acer UI (4.5) over the top, although Flash 10.1 support is confirmed.

The tablets is light on physical buttons, which would be problematic since it’s currently running a version of Android designed to have Home, Menu, and Back buttons. But Acer has gotten around this by implementing a feature that lets you swipe across the corner of the screen to bring up on-screen buttons that you can press from any application.

No pricing details have yet been confirmed, and there’s no pictures of the device yet either.

The need for people to purchase a tablet PC is rather high in some instances. I Phone devices are smaller and more portable than a laptop. They are also as user friendly and intricately designed as a modern smartphone in many instances.
