Looks:
Apple added the ‘Air’ bit to the name of the new slate precisely between it is ultra-light and extremely smooth in its outlook. According to the company, the new slate packs a bezel which is 43% smaller than the previous models and is merely 7.5mm thick. It must be noted here that the 4th-gen iPad was 9.4mm thick, which means that Apple has been able to trim down the waist of the tablet by 25%.

The new tablet weighs only 1.0 lb, making it an incredibly light device. iPad Air is equally impressive under the hood, packing a 64-bit desktop-class architecture, much like the one Apple debuted in iPhone 5S. It also includes an M7 motion coprocessor as well as a Retina display.

Other highlights of the slate include a 5MP iSight camera and comes with MIMO technology which ensures a lot faster Wi-Fi. The 5MP camera is able to record HD video whereas the new front camera lets you make FaceTime calls in HD.

Pricing:
The 16GB Wi-Fi model of iPad Air will cost $499 whereas the cellular versions start at $629. You will have to wait a bit for the slate as it will be made available later on November 1st.
