Asus Releases New Android 4.0 Update For Transformer Pad TF101

After fixing known bugs in the first update, Asus has released another update of Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) for EeePad Transformer TF101 including new features like face unlock, system bar lock and more. The latest software version is numbered 9.2.1.24. Recently, this update news has been announced through Asus UK Facebook page.

Asus has issued an advisory for users to cold boot the system before downloading and installing the new update. If you are not sure how to cold boot your system then watch the following video.

Beside bug fixing, the latest update has some new features included. These are as follows.

  • Improves system stability
  • Improves Email App stability
  • Improves MyNet stability
  • Improves MyLibrary stability
  • Add System Bar Lock: Lock the system bar when playing games
  • Add Email App new feature: Email download size/Thread/Out of office notification/Mail Sync schedule
