ASUS To Release A 7-inch Tablet “Memo Pad 172V” In April For Only $149

The CES 2013 ended few days ago. Many companies unveiled a lot of products and technologies at the CES 2013, but seems like Taiwanese multinational company ASUS has more to show off. Recently, the company has announced a tablet called MeMO Pad ME172V which will be shipped in April. See the specification and price inside.

The Memo Pad 172V weighs 370g and it measures 7.72-inch x 4.69-inch x 0.44-inch (196.2 mm x 119.2 mm x 11.2 mm). The tablet will run on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) and will feature a 7-inch 10-point multi-touch LED-backlit display with 1024 x 600 resolution along with 140 degree viewing angle, 350-nit brightness, a single core 1GHz VIA WM8950 CPU, 1GB RAM, Mali-400 GPU which is capable of 1080p video playback and basic 3D, either 8GB or 16GB Storage that can be expandable up to 32GB via the microSD card slot, 1MP front camera with a f/2.0 aperture which is capable of 720p HD video capture at 30fps, a 0.81 pound weighs 4270mAh battery that can provide 7 hours of power supply, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, a headphone jack, microphone, a micro USB port, a gyroscope. Besides, the MeMO Pad 172V will also feature ASUS SonicMaster audio and MaxxAudio for high-quality sound and a lot more.

ASUS said, “Our focus for this device is on delivering excellent performance per watt and a smooth and fluid user experience at an extremely affordable price, NOT on winning benchmarks.”

The ASUS Memo Pad 172V will cost $149 and will be available in three colors – Sugar White, Titanium Gray and Cherry Pink. The Tablet will be released in the U.S. in April.
