Fujitsu Announces Waterproof Tablet and Quad-Core Smartphone

At this year’s edition of Consumer Electronics Show, Fujitsu managed to get the visitors’ attention with two intriguing announcements: a waterproof tablet and a quad core smartphone. The Arrows tablet, introduced by the Japanese company, runs on Android Honeycomb and, as Fujitsu advertises, users can drop in the pool without worrying about the tablet’s later functionality.

Apparently, Arrows has a waterproof body but it is at the same time a high end tablet featuring impressive technical specifications. Arrows has a 10.1 inch display with a pixel resolution of 1280 x 800 and it is powered by a 1GHz dual core processor with OMAP4430 chipset. In addition, Arrows has 1 GB of RAM which sets it apart from the majority of Android tablets on the market.

In addition, Fujitsu revealed a prototype smartphone powered by a quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 processor. Gamers who are already fidgeting with anticipation for this smartphone that looks at a first glance specially made for them, should know that this smartphone, apparently also dubbed as Arrow, has a 4.6-inch HD display and will be released at a later date. When it comes to camera capabilities, reviewers hint to a 13.1 megapixel rear camera capable of ISO 25,600 sensitivity. And to raise the level of eagerness, this smartphone from Fujitsu will come with the latest Android, Ice Cream Sandwich.
