Get Windows On A Jailbroken iPad With Quasar

A number of tablet vendors are lining up to roll out Windows 8 tablet as soon as Microsoft releases the much-touted OS. Needless to say, many iPad users wouldn’t mind getting a Windows-like interface on their tablets. While a true Windows 8 tablet may still be months away, you can still get a very real, smooth and awesome Windows experience on your iPad with a new tool in Cydia Store, called Quasar.

The tool is a tad bit pricey, being offered for $10. But once you watch the demo of the tool being used in the video posted below, you will most probably agree that it is definitely worth it.

With Quasar, you get to have most of the functionality that is being offered in Windows. You get to resize multiple apps in windows, drag them around, open multiple apps at the same time, use them in full-screen mode and close them. It is truly amazing that despite being a hack, Quasar works perfectly smoothly and excellently.

This tool has been developed by a Brazilian developer Perdo Franceschi. According to Franceschi, he is also working further on the hack so that it would soon be supporting a Bluetooth keyboard. That will pretty much complete the Windows experience, on an iPad, for most users.
