The new iPad is nearly all of what we have been hoping and wishing for! It has a better resolution, better processor, better camera, support for 4G LTE and much, much more!! The mind-blowing new features that are a part of the new iPad are listed below:

A5X Processor: This is a new quad-core processor from Apple. The new iPad features the processor which is able to power it up with quad-core graphics. Apple didn’t forget to compare the A5X processor with the much-touted Nvidia Tegra 3 processor and said that A5X is twice as fast and deliver four times the performance!

Retina Display: So here’s the true eye-catcher part of the new iPad tablet. The display resolution of the new tablet is 2084 x 1536! This effectively makes it a tablet with 264 pixels per inch, which is four times as many pixels as those in iPad 2. This also makes this new display the one with 44% more saturation.

Better camera: The new tablet from Apple features iSight camere which is 5-megapixel with a backside illuminated sensor, a 5-element lens and also has a hybrid IR filter. Moreover, it tools an Apple-designed ISP that is built right into the A5X processor. You can record 1080p HD video with the help of this new camera.

Voice dictation: Apple didn’t elaborate exactly on this one but from what we hear, this feature is different from Siri and enables voice dictation through a microphone built into the keyboard. I must say that if the accuracy of this voice-dictation is the same as Siri’s natural-language processing, this can prove to be one very useful feature! Rather than inputting text on the tablet, you can directly dictate the text to the tablet through your voice.

Better battery: Battery life has been one of the major concerns of tablet users. Hopefully, the new iPad will also resolve this problem to a great extent. Apple is claiming that the new iPad will be able to maintain the 10-hour battery power after a single recharge, despite using more powerful processor and many new features.

4G LTE support: Finally, the new iPad also has support for 4G LTE. Just to demonstrate the sheer significant of 4G connectivity, Apple cited during the event that you can download 5 files on a 4G network in the same time you take to download 1 file on 3G. Moreover, your new iPad can serve to act as a personal hotspot for up to five devices, if your carrier supports it.

According to Apple, the new iPad will officially hit the shelves on March 16th. However, it is unclear whether this is the global roll-out date or only for the US users. Moreover, despite the rumors that the new iPad will be lighter, it is heavier on the contrary with a weight of 1.4lbs and has a thickness of 9.4mm.

The pricing details of the new iPad are also not too far-off the estimates put forth in recent days. The 3G versions of the tablet are close to the pricing of iPad 2, with the 16GB model coming for $499, 32GB for $599 and 64GB for $699. The 4G versions are of course more pricey, tagged $629, $729 and $829 for the three models respectively. Moreover, the rumors that this iPad will feature an all-new dock connector have been proved false since Apple hasn’t departed from the same old dock-connector.

At the same time, the prices of iPad 2 have dropped, obviously an outcome of iPad 3 launch. Now, iPad 2 16GB, Wi-fi version is available for $399. Now may be the best time for you to lay your hands on it if you don’t yet want to spend a fortune on the new iPad.
