Nexus 7 Tablet Update: Expected To Arrive By End Of June

Rumors regarding Google’s expected Nexus tablet have been surfacing, one after the other. First, very clear hints of the existence of the tablet surfaced on a benchmarking site which had the whole tech world excited. Then, we were able to see direct images which were claimed to be of the 7-inch Nexus tablet, showing off a decent, neat tablet.

Asus is the vendor which has apparently collaborated with Google to create the 7-inch Nexus tablet. Incidentally, Asus has been present in all the rumors that surfaced regarding Nexus tablet, reaffirming this.

Now, an unnamed representative allegedly from Asus has made things further exciting by saying that Asus is indeed working with Google on a quad-core tablet. The bechmark tests mentioned earlier divulged that the tablet tooled Tegra-based MeMO 3270T. What is even more exciting for Android users is that the tablet, according to rumors, will be coming with Android Jelly Bean, an iteration of Android which hasn’t even been released yet.

If indeed Google chooses to bring the tablet out with Android Jelly Bean, it may seem a tad bit unfair since other Android vendors won’t haveĀ  access to Jelly Bean until it is officially released.

Finally, the Asus source further revealed that the tablet will probably hit the shelves by the end of June, when Google’s I/O developer conference is due.

The end of June is like 10 days away! This sure looks like a better option, though I’m still thinking of the iPad 3.
