Tobii And NTT DOCOMO Developed ibeam Eye-Tracking Tablet

Tobii and NTT DOCOMO, Japan’s premier wireless carrier, have developed a concept tablet called ibeam that features built-in eye-tracking technology. Tobii recently announced that NTT DOCOMO will reveal ibeam tablet at CEATEC (Japan’s largest IT and electronics exhibition and conference) in Tokyo. Tobii IS20, aka Tobii IS-2, eye tracker has been used in the ibeam tablet.

Tobii claimed that IS20 is the world’s most advanced and compact eye tracker that is able to give an unrivaled eye tracking experience.

CEO of Tobii Technology, Henrik Eskilsson said, “This is an exciting step forward as we continue to pursue our vision of a world in which eye tracking enhances our interaction with everyday devices. We are thrilled to see so many companies taking an interest in exploring the possibilities with Tobii’s eye-tracking technology.
