The Lego Robotic Prosthetic Arm Defines Complex Hand And Wrist Movements Elaborately

Max Shepherd (YouTube user name sumthinelse5790) has made a robotic hand successfully out of Legos. Here, Max Shepherd displays the entire range of motion of the human hand amazingly. The main purpose of this arm is to accurately mimic the full range of motion of a normal human arm and hand. The Lego robotic arm is especially made to grab things.


Lego pneumatic provides power the complex hand and wrist movements. The hand has 12 degrees of freedom. Not only this, but also it can do some cool stuff. The gripper is specially designed to pick up something without damaging or crushing it. It can lift more than a couple of pounds. The Lego designed arm starts above the elbow prosthesis. The design is highly verified with nearly no error. The hand can even spread its fingers out to the sides. Each digit of this hand can be controlled by a cluster of switches and joysticks.
