[Tutorial] How To Download Google Docs In Older Office Formats

Unfortunately Google Docs is no longer supporting older Office formats and some people are still using them. If you are one of them and you still need to be able to use your old Office format documents inside Google Docs you will be happy to know that there is some light at the end of tunnel and in this tutorial I will show you how to perform this procedure.

There are three possible options to do that:

Option 1: You can save your important documents in any format and then use an online converter to convert it into older office format. Some of the web sites which are able to perform these conversions are Online-ConverterZamzarMediaConverter… However if you documents contain some very sensitive information’s, you may consider some other options in order to protect your data.

Option 2: Another solution is to install the Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack on the targeted machines. Using Office Compatibility Pack you can easily open and edit older file formats and if necessary save them in newer available Office formats.

Option 3: Probably the last possible option is to use Email feature integrated inside Google Docs. By clicking File menu inside your document and choose Email as attachment you will be able to select a desired Office format from drop down menu.

There you go! Those are three possible options I have found. If you know any other which I didn’t mentioned, leave your suggestions in comment section below.
