Netflix DVD Website Runs Into Issues, Intermittently Accessible To Users

We recently reported that right on the eve of Christmas Day, Netflix ran into troubles and the website was not accessible to a sizable portion of users. Thankfully, the company resolved the issue fairly quickly. The DVD website of Netflix is having issues yet again, being accessible to users only intermittently.

The recent episode of outage is being reported by a number of users. Many have cited that when they try to visit the website, they are presented with the message:

We’re Sorry

The Netflix site is temporarily unavailable. Our engineers are working hard to bring the site back up as quickly as possible.

Netflix users have taken to Twitter to vent out their anger which is rather justified since this is the second widespread outage of the service within a week. Some users are reporting that they are unable to access the DVD page on the website whereas other have cited that the Netflix stream is not working properly.

Netflix, on the other hand, seems to have decided that the only problem lies with the DVD website which is intermittently accessible to the users. According to the company, “We are experiencing some technical difficulty with the Netflix DVD Web site, which as a result may not be available for all members. Our engineers are working to address this issue. Netflix streaming is not impacted.”

Although we are sure that Netflix folks would never want such incidents to happen, they need to realize that if this becomes a norm, they will conveniently lose their users to other streaming services.
