Facebook, Facing a Major Corporate Reorganization?

Apparently, the steady leadership that reign over the last couple of years at Facebook needs to be shaken a little bit. According to a recent piece of news published yesterday by AllThingsD, an internal memo circulated a few days ago in the company announcing the reorganization. A new structure will be more focused on design, product and engineering teams with additional tasks in vital areas such as privacy and communications.

The company led by CEO and founder Mark Zuckerberg had a troubled life in the early years with management shakeups but lately, seemed to have reached to an equilibrium. However, as Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg declared on the stage of Business Insider’s IGNITION conference Mark Zuckerberg’s greatest fear is the lack of innovation. This corroborated with increased competition on the social media realm and with the upcoming initial public offering, maybe led top officials to look for a wind of change inside the corporation.

Earlier this week another news about the changes that Facebook as corporations is facing hit the Internet. According to ComputerWorld, the company that has now up to 2000 employees will expand its team to nearly 10,000 in the next five years. Also, new offices are to be opened in New York as an engineering headquarters.
