Rapper Eminem Wins Top Prize At YouTube Music Awards Show

A couple of weeks ago YouTube announced the nominees for Music Awards. That awaited very first music awards of YouTube was held last night. And rapper Eminem has won the top prize.

Nominees were selected by the amount of YouTube views, likes, comments and subscription figures for different artists. The awards were offered in six different categories: ‘Video of the year’, ‘Artist of the year’, ‘Response of the year’, ‘YouTube Phenomenon’, ‘YouTube Breakthrough’ and ‘Innovation of the year’. Based on voting, the 41-year-old rapper Eminem has won the ‘Artist of the Year’ award. He walked away with the gong at the ceremony held in New York City.

On the other side, Taylor Swift’s has won the ‘YouTube Phenomenon’ award for ‘I Knew You Were Trouble’; South Korean girl band ‘Girls’ Generation’ has won ‘Video of the Year’ award for their song ‘I Got a Boy’; DeStorm Power received the ‘Innovation of the Year’ prize for ‘See Me Standing’; Macklemore and Rylan Lewis received the ‘Breakthrough of the Year’ award for their new anthem ‘Same Love’ and ‘Lindsey Stirling and Pentatonix’ received ‘Response of the Year’ award for ‘Radioactive’.
