NSA has been criticized endlessly over its use of the PRISM program for mass surveillance. So the app is to humor the agency by offering voluntary details of one’s life.
However, when you install the app, you are essentially foregoing your own privacy voluntarily. You can control certain aspects of the app though. For instance, you can control the specific time slot after which the app should take a shot of your phone’s screen.
