Ukranian Euro 2012 Site Attacked By Anonymous Over Dog Slaughter

Ukrainian government has been cleaning up its streets in what seems a really brutal way. The authorities have been rounding up stray dogs and killing them, burning some of them alive, so as to clear the streets ahead of the Euro 2012 event. This has continued for about the whole of last year with Ukrainian authorities recently claiming that they have stopped the killing and yet proofs to the contrary coming to fore.

To avenge this dog slaughter, the popular hacktivist group, Anonymous, has now launched an attack on Ukrainian sites, reportedly taking down a Ukrainian site associated with Euro 2012 games. The outfit also actively tweeted about this feat.

Apparently, Anonymous launched the regular Distributed Denial of Service attacks, thus rendering the site unavailable as long as the attacks continued. However, it seems now that the website is back online.

Ukrainian government has been criticized by activists and numerous organizations for carrying out such a dog slaughter in which reportedly many lost pet dogs were also put to death.  Videos are available on YouTube to affirm these acts.
