New Anti-Abuse Ad Displays Secret Message Only To Kids

Child abuse is a common issue and often, it’s very hard to reach out to the affected kids and offer them help. A Spanish organization has come up with a clever way of doing so. The organization has devised a unique ad which is visible only to people who are shorter than 4’5″.

Anti abuse ad

The ad is displayed on a billboard which has a serrated surface. When someone who is above 4’5″ views the billboard, he reads something different on it. In fact, if adults read the very billboard, it displays hte following text: “Sometimes, child abuse is only visible to the child suffering it.”

But if the person reading the board is shorter than 4’5″, he is able to read the message, “If somebody hurts you, phone us and we’ll help you” together with a helpline number.

Such ads have become fairly common over the last few years. They are used to advertise different images or transform one image into another as a consumer walks by a billboard. In the past, such ads have been used by different advertisement agencies.

But it is interesting to note that such specialized ads are now being put to a new use. A number of other measures have also being devised to enable organizations to reach out to the children themselves so that adults are unable to discern that such efforts are under way. That is because in many cases, adults try to bar the children from getting any help and thus, obstruct the process of counseling abused children.
