Nokia do not make any official announcements yet, but we’ve found some of very official-looking photos of what’s likely to be called the Nokia 700 or Zeta. A comparison of these new pics with the spyshots grabbed last week show very little difference besides the obvious color change.
Nokia’s global belt-tightening efforts continue with the Japanese arm of its luxury phone subsidiary Vertu the latest part of its operations to get the snip and two Vertu stores in the country will shut their doors for good at the end of the month, leaving Nokia without any presence in the land of the Rising Sun at all.Finnish firm will retain offices in Tokyo through the end of the year to manage refunds and bid farewell to the robot loving maidens of Tokyo’s commercial district……….
These shots bellow are of the Nokia 700 “Zeta,” which appears likely to be a replacement to the C6-01. A couple of days ago we had reported that Nokia was looking to push out four new Symbian handsets, which would be powered by 1GHz processors. Well as it turns out, one of those handsets on the list, the Nokia 700 “Zeta”, had its photos leaked. Fom the picture giving us an idea of what we might expect from the final product!

Telecom giant Nokia and conglomerate Siemens are moving to restructure a joint venture in telecommunications networking equipment after failing to acquire a controlling stake in it and two private equity groups, Kohlberg Kravis Roberts and TPG Capital already dropped out of the auction to take over from Nokia as the controlling partner in NSN. Shares of Nokia ended Friday down 14 cents at $5.88 and shares of Siemens finished the session down 60 cents at $131.18………..
We are not sure about the device is “super confidential” or not, but we’ve just come across yet another Nokia N9 lookalike with a non-MeeGo operating system on board. But there is no way to verify that the Android home-screen we see bellow is a legitimate Gingerbread installation and not a mere screenshot.
The device, codenamed Sea Ray is appears similar to the MeeGo-based N9 that Nokia announced and it has a plastic case (or perhaps polycarbonate, as Nokia calls the N9’s base material), a Gorilla glass display and one more hardware button than the N9. Windows Phone 7 Sea Ray runs Windows Phone 7 Mango, the latest version of the OS and would be the fruit of a controversial partnership announced this year, which saw Nokia abandon its own Symbian smartphone OS in favor of Microsoft’s mobile platform…………..
Developer Steve Troughton-Smith reminded via Twitter that the N9 will ship with Alien Dalvik, which means you’ll be able to run Android apps on the N9 and Alien Dalvik software system runs Android apps on non-Android devices which will also be available to run on MeeGo later this year……….
