Sony Releases First USB 3.0 Flash Drive

Sony introduced to the market the company’s first USB 3.0 flash drive codenamed Micro Vault Mach Superspeed. The Japanese hardware manufacturer announced that the new flash drives have writing speeds of up to 120MB/s and 90MB/s. The Micro Vault Mach Superspeed USB 3.0 flash drive will be available in four capacity versions: 8GB, 16GB, 32GB and 64GB and it will have an robust aluminum case.

Sykipot – Chinese Malware Attacks US Department of Defense

Access cards used by US government agencies have been attacked by a malware strain known as Sykipot. AlienVault managed to investigate the hackings and discovered that “these attacks originate from servers in China with what appears to be the purpose of obtaining information from the defense sector: the same sector that makes extensive use of PC/SC x509 Smartcards for authentication.”
