According to the analysis of Deutsche Bank’s Chris Whitmore, Apple is the world’s top PC vendor. This analysis considers iPad too as a PC, and with the millions of tablets sold out by Apple already, he thinks Apple is already the world’s top vendor. Moreover, according to his analysis, this is going to change little in 2012. Android tablets haven’t succeeded against Apple while Windows 8, and any tablets that support it, will pick up a pace very slowly. So Apple is stay with it’s crown, through 2012.

11 Million Daily Downloads Through Nokia Store

Although Nokia is concentrating on Windows Phone as of late and has somewhat lost focus on it’s Symbian OS devices, the Nokia Store still continues with a huge number of daily downloads. According to Nokia, currently, the store is witnessing nearly 11 million downloads every single day!! However, the country with most downloads is India with other toppers including Russia, Turkey, Brazil and others. Europe or US do not appear in the top of the lsit which shows that Nokia’s Symbian OS no longer holds any interest for users in these regions.

CES 2012: Dell Will Re-Enter Tablet Market By The End Of 2012

As we see it, the tablet market seem largely dominated by Apple’s iPad and Amazon’s Kindle Fire. Samsung did have some success with it’s Galaxy Tab but it still isn’t a major contender. And Google, too, has been ramping up plans to launch a Google tablet. In all this, the traditional tech giants, such as Dell, seem out of luck and out of business. At CES 2012, Dell’s Chief Financial Office, in an interview, said that Dell has all plans of re-entering the tablet market by the end of 2012.
