During an Earnings Conference Call on Tuesday, Intel CEO Pauls Otellini has shared what the consumers will can expect from the company and its partners. Intel is selling high in terms of ultrabooks and it hope to continue the trend throughout the next quarter. But, that’s not what the consumers should be happy about. The Intel chief also shared that the consumers will have the option to choose from more than 140 ultarbooks in coming months. A substantial part of them would be touch enabled. And, a dozen of them would be convertible.

Asus is showing a 11-inch UX21A touch-enabled Ultrabook at Computex in Taipei. The ultrabook is pre-installed with Windows 8 and fully explores the touch sensitive features of the operating system. Its touchscreen is exceptional but whole design is conventional. Asus mentioned that the ultrabook has not made to the production line yet. Samsung Introduces Series 5 Ultra Touch And Ultra Convertible Ultrabooks

Samsung has introduced two new Series 5 touch enabled ultrabooks at Computex in Taipei. Both Ultrabooks have Ultra Touch with Ultra Convertible which is designed around Windows 8 and offering 1366 x 768 touch screens. The Ultra Convertible carries the concept further with a 13-inch display that can fold all the way back. Samsung did not declare till now when the ultrabooks will be available in stores or how much they will cost.

Intel Ultrabooks And Tablets Will Get Free Wi-Fi Connectivity Worldwide

Intel is planning to add enhanced connectivity features to its Ultrabooks and tablets that would give its users automatic access to free Wi-Fi hotspots worldwide. Recently, Intel and Devicescape has completed a deal to implement this feature on ultrabooks and tablets. By using Devicescape’s Wi-Fi management tool Intel users will be able to automatically connect their Ultrabooks or tablets to open Wi-Fi hotspots. The technique, dubbed as Intel’s Smart Connect Technology, will support automatic update of e-mail, Facebook, Twitter and other apps by using Devicescape’s Curated Virtual Network (CVN), even when the device is in sleep mode.
